WHY UNDERSTAND BEHAVIOR?Personality is an important aspect of ourselves, but is static.Behavior is about changing, moving and developing ourselves. Personality can be used as an excuse not to do something - i.e., it's not in my nature. Personality informs our behavior, but doesn't limit it. Successful people are comfortable using a wide range of communication styles and skills. SURVEYS + TRAINING = EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATIONSolutions for Corporate Growth, Inc offers assessment tools for behavioral strengths and communication styles because they provide a solid foundation on which to build better relationships and collaborative work environments. The surveys we use are from The Shutz Company - LIFOŽ and include:LIFO (Life Orientations) Strengths Survey - understand
your own behaviors and styles, as well as your team's
Once the participants understand the survey results, we use a variety of exercises to help leaders and teams develop new insights, skills, and strategies to enhance communication, collaboration and productivity. We use training developed by Solutions for Corporate Growth, Inc., as well as provide course workbooks from The Shutz Company. Effective communication and leadership skills can also be improved with one-on-one coaching. At times the intentions, behavior, and impact of an executive or manager may be incongruent. We work with the individual so that thoughts, actions and impact are aligned. We back this up by continuing to use and develop the leader's strengths. GOALS OF LIFOŽ PERFORMANCE TRAININGSUnderstand our own preferences and styles.Apply new personal and professional communication strategies.
